CEZ, yaklaşık 7 milyon müşteriye ve 14 bin 300 MW'ın üzerinde üretim
kapasitesine sahip, Orta Avrupa'nın lider enerji şirketidir. Piyasa değeri 30

Yerel ortaklarla birlikte Bosna'daki Gacko şehrinde bir elektrik santralinin
inşasının hazırlığını yapmakta olan Şirket, Aralık 2007'de Macar petrol ve gaz
şirketi MOL ile doğalgaza dayalı enerji üretimine yoğunlaşan stratejik ortaklığı
başlatmıştır.
Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına yatırım yapan CEZ Group'un anavatanında 1
güneşe dayalı, 34 adet de hidroelektrik santrali işletmektedir. Ayrıca Çek
Cumhuriyeti'nde 2 nükleer enerji santrali, 15 kömür santrali bulunan şirketin,
yurtdışında ise 3 kömür santrali mevcuttur.
Farklı santrallerden oluşan portföy, grubun değişen taleplere esnek bir biçimde

Özel Sektör Enerji Şirketlerinin Öncüsü
1989 yılında, elektrik üretimi otoprodüktör grubu statüsünde faaliyete geçen
Akenerji, Türkiye'nin ilk özel sektör elektrik üreticisidir. Ülkemizdeki özel
sektör elektrik üretim şirketlerinin en büyüğü konumunda olan Akenerji, orta ve
büyük sanayi kuruluşları, organize sanayi bölgeleri ve DUY sistemine enerji
vermekte olup, Türkiye'de serbest elektrik üreticisi konumundaki özel sektörün,
toplam elektrik üretiminin %10'nunu karşılamaktadır.
Üretimde "Yenilenebilir" Büyüme
Akenerji, mevcut yenilenebilir enerji yatırım portföyü ve özelleştirme
fırsatlarının yanı sıra, farklı yakıt kaynaklarına dayalı yatırım imkanlarını da
takip etmekte ve incelemektedir. Bugün üretiminin tamamını doğal gaz'dan
sağlayan Akenerji, son yıllarda artan doğal gaz fiyatlarının etkisini azaltmak
ve üretimde kaynak çeşitliliğine ulaşmak için yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına
dayalı üretim yatırımlarına ağırlık vermiştir. Bu kapsamda, 2003 yılından
itibaren hidroelektrik santral ihalelerine katılan Akenerji, 2005 yılında
Çınarcık HES ve Uluabat Kuvvet Tüneli ile Akocak regülatörleri ve Akocak HES
ihalelerini kazanarak, üretim çeşitliliği alanındaki çalışmalarına da büyük hız
vermiştir.
Bu kapsamda Akenerji, 496 MW'lık mevcut kurulu gücüne ek olarak, toplam 375 MW
kapasiteli 9 adet hidroelektrik santrali ve 15 MW kapasiteli bir rüzgar santrali
yatırımlarına devam etmekte ve aynı zamanda linyit, kömür ve nükleer enerji
yatırım imkanlarını da takip etmektedir. Kurulduğu günden bu yana, proaktif bir
yaklaşımla büyüyen şirket, öncü ve vizyoner konumu ile sektörde rekabet
üstünlüğü kazanmıştır.
Dağıtımda Aktif ve Öncü
Akenerji, 2008 yılının Temmuz ayında Çek firma CEZ ile birlikte konsorsiyum
oluşturarak, "AkCez" adı altında katıldığı, Özelleştirme İdaresinin açtığı
Elektrik Dağıtım Özelleştirme İhalesinden, Sakarya Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (SEDAŞ)
ihalesini kazanmıştır. Sakarya, Bolu, Düzce, ve Kocaeli bölgelerini içine alan
ve 355 milyon dolarlık teklifle açılan SEDAŞ ihalesini 600 milyon dolarlık
teklifiyle kazanan Akenerji-Akkök-CEZ Konsorsiyumu için Özleştirme Yüksek Kurulu
(ÖYK) tarafından onay verilmiştir. Enerji sektöründe atılımlarıyla örnek teşkil
eden Akenerji, SEDAŞ özelleştirmesi ile birlikte sektörde öncü pozisyonunu
güçlendirirken, enerji özelleştirmelerinin aktif bir oyuncu olacağını bir kez
daha göstermiştir.
Prestijli Stratejik Ortaklık
2008 yılının bir diğer önemli atılımı ise, Akenerji hissedarlarının, 8 Ekim 2008
tarihinde toplam 30 milyar Avro Pazar değeri ile Avrupa'nın en karlı tam entegre
ve 7. büyük enerji şirketi CEZ ile, eşit ortaklığa dayalı bir ortaklık anlaşması
imzalamasıdır. Anlaşma uyarınca, Akenerji'nin halka açık olmayan 75%'lik
kısmında %50-%50 stratejik ortaklık oluşturmak suretiyle, beş yıl içinde 3000 MW
yatırım yapılacak ve Türkiye'ye önemli miktarda yabancı sermaye girişi
gerçekleştirilecektir.

Temelleri 1952 yılında, merhum Raif Dinçkök tarafından atılan Akkök Şirketler

Pioneer of Private Sector Energy Companies
Akenerji which has started its activity as an autoproducer group for electricity
generation is the first private sector electricity generator in Turkey.
Akenerji, which is the biggest among the private sector electricity generation
companies in our country, is supplying electricity to medium sized and large
scale industrial institutions, to organized industrial zones and to the
Balancing and Settlement Regulation system and is answering 10% of the total
electricity generation by the private sector in Turkey.
"Renewable" Growth in Generation
Akenerji is following and examining investment opportunities based on different
fuel sources besides the existing renewable energy investment portfolio and the
privatization opportunities. Akenerji, which today has all of its generation
with natural gas, is now concentrating on investments for generation based on
renewable energy sources in order to decrease the effect of rising natural gas
prices and to have diversity of sources in generation. In this context Akenerji
has been participating in the tenders of the hydroelectric power stations since
2003 and in 2005 it has won the tenders for Çınarcık hydroelectric power
station, Uluabat Power Tunnel, and Akocak regulator and hydroelectric power
station and thus accelerated its efforts in order to obtain diversity in
generation.
Within this framework Akenerji is continuing its investments for 9 hydroelectric
power stations with a total capacity of 375 MW and a wind power station with a
capacity of 15 MW in addition to its current installed power of 496 MW and at
the same time is following investment opportunities for lignite-fired, coal and
nuclear energy facilities. The company which has been growing with a proactive
approach since its establishment has won competitive advantage in the sector
with its pioneer position with a vision.
Pioneer and Active in Distribution
Akenerji has won the tender for Sakarya Electricity Distribution Inc. (SEDAŞ) in
the Electricity Distribution Privatization Tender held by the Privatization
Administration where it had participated as a consortium it had constituted
together with the Czech company CEZ under the name of "AkCez" in July 2008. The
Higher Board of Privatization also approved the result of the SEDAŞ tender which
had opened with an offer of 355 million dollars and which the Akenerji-Akkök-CEZ
consortium has won with their offer of 600 million dollars including the regions
of Sakarya, Bolu, Düzce and Kocaeli. Akenerji, which constitutes an example with
the advancements it has made in the energy sector, has strengthened its pioneer
position in the sector with the SEDAŞ privatization and has shown once again
that it will be an active player in the energy privatizations.
Prestigious Strategic Shareholder
Another important development in 2008 was that the Akenerji shareholders has
signed a consortium agreement on 8th of October 2008 with CEZ, which is the most
profitable, fully integrated and 7. largest energy company in Europe, with a
total market value of 30 billion Euros, based on equal shareholder. According to
this agreement a 50%-50% strategic shareholder shall be constituted with the 75%
non-public shares of Akenerji and an investment for 3000 MW shall be made within
five years and there shall be an important amount of foreign capital inflow to
Turkey.
